Growing up, one of my favorite toys was an antique dollhouse I was gifted for Christmas. I would sit and play with that house for hours. I have so many memories of antique hunting for dollhouse furniture and accessories with my parents, and they are memories I will cherish forever. Now that I have a little girl, I am determined to make sure she has similar memories, with a dollhouse of her very own!
For her first Christmas, my husband and I gifted Finley a beautiful antique dollhouse that we were able to score for just over $60.00! Although a lot of work is needed, the bones are good, and it was just what we were looking for. It has so many similarities to my dollhouse as a child, but so much potential to be completely catered to her! The plan is to completely renovate the house by her first birthday in September, and gift some Maileg Mice to go with it.
Although that’s still the plan, Once Colton saw the house, he was hooked. He plays with it all of the time, and it quickly became a superhero hideout for his figurines. I knew he needed a house of his own! After some research, I decided to purchase an IKEA FLISAT dollhouse and turn it into an awesome dollhouse just for Colton!

I will be using several different techniques as practice for the antique dollhouse, and I cannot wait. I will be sharing room reveals throughout the process, and will be sure to include any tips and tricks I learn along the way. Be sure to follow along on instagram for all of the behind-the-scenes highlights! Get ready for another Taylor’d masterpiece!
